FaEChERS
The
"Fast, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe(FaEChERS)"
Sample Extraction Kit & Method for Pesticide Residues
Determination
How to shorten the time required of chemical determination
for the pesticide residues in agricultural products, have been a global common
issues,
among which the extraction of pesticide residues is the most time-consuming
step.
A rapid chemical extraction technology developed by our cooperative team,
the FaEChERS is a
collection of much more faster and more advanced
kit and method for
extractions,
that can significantly reduce more than 85% time
for the
extraction of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables.
In spite that
the current most widely & globally applied technology
for extraction of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables is the
QuEChERS
("Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe"),
the sample extraction steps
and time
of our
FaEChERS
technology is
significantly reduced
to only 1/30
of
QuEChERS
extraction time,
that effectively enhances the timeliness of pesticide residue testing.
Therefore, FaEChERS
technology has the very high potential
to replace the QuEChERS.
We hope to be able to draw on technical and marketing capacity of international
companies,
for quick and
effective international promotions,
including the progressive striving to become the standard methods
in the AOAC, EU CFDA, etc., and to will maximize application values and provide
important helps
to the
international agricultural and analytical fields.

2. Save more than 85% extraction time required for pesticide
residues.
|
3. Improve the efficiency of pesticide residues extraction
about five times.
|
4. Reduce solvent use by about 50%.
|
5. Save 60% labor costs for the pesticide residue
determinations.

Mango, shallots, greens, apples, carrots, avocado, pea sprouts matrix used:
In the 60% -140% recovery range, there are 355, 351,
353, 363,
371, 401 and 408 items, that respectively account for
85%, 84%, 86%, 88%, 90% and 92% of the total number of pesticides.
The range collectively account up to 94% and 98.6% of the total number
of pesticides
that are ever and
frequently detected respectively.

The pesticides items with the Limit of detection(LOQ) available to 0.01ppm,
for Mango matched with reagents and methods of FaEChERS, for example,
is up to
388 items, accounting for
92.8% of the total pesticides analyzed.
